About Clifford Kelly
Clifford Kelly with associate photographer Myriam Boutin. Photo by associate photographer Emma McDonald on May 7, 2026. We were really beginning to wonder if we'd be photographing our athletes in snow! What a spring season this year.
According to Confucius (and my wife?!) apparently I've never worked over the past few decades. Quote: Choose a job you love, and you'll never have to work a day in your life. As a youth sport photographer, I get to deal with the best kids, coaches, parents and volunteers who, simply put, are a joy to reconnect with year after year. Those years have flown by. What a neat experience to have the little girl I had coached on my son's U6 soccer team show up driving her own car for U18 photos a decade later. What a pleasure to document all these children maturing into young adults and leaving them with tangible photographs recording their progress and achievements. Photographs for them to look back on and realize how much they have accomplished.
A personal project I have taken on over the last several years is photographing the wild horses in the Forestry Reserve west of Sundre. Sometimes you find them, sometimes you don't. I caught up with this little guy and his mom in April and he had lots to say! I on the other hand, don't have any more to say, so signing off. Cliff Kelly
